The Wilmington Chamber Orchestra is comprised of Wilmington’s finest orchestral and jazz musicians. Conducted by Dominic Talanca and featuring alto saxophonist Maxwell Snyder, the group performs music from the legendary album Charlie Parker with Strings. Using the original arrangements from the 1949 and 1950 studio recordings, the music features jazz standards by American composers such as George Gershwin and Cole Porter, performed with a classical string section and jazz rhythm section.
