Maxwell Snyder has built an international career over the past twenty-five years as a composer and soloist of the highest caliber. Having performed with orchestras in the United States and Europe,  he has established himself as one of the few musicians that has triumphed the world of both classical and jazz.

Recognized for intense, commanding performances, delivered with dazzling virtuosity and technical assurance,  alto saxophonist Maxwell Snyder continues to stretch the endless boundaries of connecting with audiences through music.

A recipient of the Arts and Science Council grant, which led to the recording of The Moons of Jupiter, and winner of the first annual ASCAP young jazz composer award, his latest composition, Mirage Mountain, was commissioned by the Brouge Quartet, and premiered in Canada in 2020.

In 2022 Maxwell partnered with Music Medic and performs exclusively on the Wilmington Alto Saxophone.
